Get to know rick kaiser
Since I was old enough to read, I have had a book in my hands. Not much has changed since then, I am a book junkie. I grew up in a military family, so we moved every few years, traveling from Alaska, through the US, and off to the South Pacific.
I climbed San Gorgonio Mountain in Southern California, hiked the Bataan Death March, rode outrigger canoes to Corregidor and watched dogsled races in the great white north.
Somewhere along the beaten path of life, I began to write. I believe I was 10 years old when I wrote my first song. I have always had a fascination with the written word and an imagination to match. From commentaries and fiction to documentaries and the classics, I have yet to read them all. I have barely scratched the surface, as a matter of fact I have given away more books than some people will ever read.
It has been suggested, several times, that I should write a book. I have invested some serious consideration into such a monumental undertaking and decided, "Ok, I will" So, I did.
I read somewhere a long time ago that; "writers write" and not only do they write they also read, as much as they can.
A good writer can paint an opus with no color, evoke an emotion with no duress, pluck a heart string with absolutely no touch and if they're really good, they can slam a book shut and hurl it across the room without ever being in the room.
It takes practice, lots of practice, and that's what I'm doing right here, every day.
